Faster Quake 2

An improved and much faster version of RISC OS Quake 2 is now available from here. As I'm unable to test this, I cannot tell you how much faster but we all trust Dave Brown and Jeffrey Lee Wink

Mars Quake levels

The past few months have been rather quiet at Blasts of the Xtreme as we have been consentrating on some of our bigger projects than our smaller ones. Well, here's four levels for MarsQuake for you to play around with over the new year, all of them are currently in beta but version 1.00 of these great maps will be released soon.

They are:
IceTrek
LavaTrek
SpaceTrek
TombKeeper

All maps can be downloads from the downloads section of our site: http://blastsofthextreme.50megs.com/

Also in the works is a new version of Venice Wars with many new levels, another Heroes of Might and Magic 2 map pack by the name of Bloody Battle Grounds and a rather large World War II graphic text adventure called Man Down!

We must also say that Era of the Phoenix (our first commercial product) is doing excellent and there will definately be more releases like this in the not so distant future!

Our site has also been down recently due to various problems but is now up and running again! http://blastsofthextreme.50megs.com/

There is also an option to turn the ghost piece on or off to aid beginner in placing the pieces, but be warned you will score less with this on.

Quake 2

A port of Quake 2 is on it's way from Jeffrey Lee and Dave Brown but it currently looks like it will be Iyonix only. An early version of the source code which is apparently unplayable can be downloaded from here. For more information on what's happening with Iyonix Quake 2 visit this this thread.

Era of the Phoenix 1.10

We are pleased to announce the release of version 1.10 of Era of the Phoenix.

In this new version, an extra map is added due to there being two copies of the same map. Thanks to Toopah for sorting that out!

All copies of Era of the Phoenix sold after this date will contain version 1.10 or better.

Everyone in our database of users will receive the update via e-mail very soon.
