Bloody Battlegrounds

Blasts of the Xtreme (us) have now released their second commercial product for RISC OS, which is another expansion pack for Heroes of Might and Magic 2. This is the first commercial release of 2007 and hopefully not the last! 2007 will be a great year for RISC OS games!

Here's the usenet announcement which will tell you everything you need to know about this new map pack for Heroes of Might and Magic 2:

"Blasts of the Xtreme are pleased to announce the release of
Bloody Battlegrounds, our second map pack for Heroes of
Might and Magic 2.

This map pack contains 25 brand new maps, providing a variety
of different styles of play but all linked by a shared
storyline that continues through all 25 maps.

The map pack is provided on CD, in a DVD style case.

All maps have been created using RISC OS. They should also
work on Heroes of Might and Magic 2 running on other
operating systems, but this has not been tested.

In the story you play the role of a loyal knight for King John and
must follow his orders, defeat his enemies...

Bloody Battlegrounds costs ten pounds including delivery.
Payment can be made by PayPal or by cheque. To order,
email s [at] @acorngamez.tk

At the South West Show on Saturday 24th February, Bloody
Battlegrounds will be available for the special offer
price of only eight pounds, as will our first map pack,
Era of the Phoenix.

Check out our website to see customer feedback on Era of
the Phoenix, as well as some of our other projects and
free downloads.

Mirror of Kharonz

Apparently, a brand new text adventure was released for RISC OS today, I currently don't have much information on this new released and we are currently unsure whether it is a commercial or freeware release.

Apparently, it's the sequel to the old BBC Micro text adventure, Gateway to Karos and the author will be appearing to the RISC OS User of the North West on Wednesday to guide users through the game!

More on this new released will be unveiled shortly! Just watch this space.

DeathDawn

A new build of the GTA style game made entirely from sprites, DeathDawn is now available from Phlamethrower's website!

Although, the DeathDawn page claims to be an older version, this is the new updated version of the game.

There's lots more development going on and the game is far from complete but it's still rather fun!
