Desktop Repton PLUS Reviewed
David Bradforth announced around a year ago on The CyberVillage that he has reduced the price of Desktop Repton PLUS TO £5 instead of £19.90!
David had to take away all of the fancy packaging and now all you get is a cracked case with a CD-Rom in it.
Desktop Repton PLUS includes Repton 1, Repton 2, Repton 3, Repton 3 level editor and three expansion packs for Repton 3, not bad for a fiver!
You can create your own Repton 3 levels and even create your own Repton sprites!
Desktop Repton PLUS works great on a RiscPC Turbo-StrongARM with RISC OS 3.6, RiscStation R7500+ Lite with RISC OS 4.03 and is now Iyonix cmopatible, I have not tested it yet but I have a feeling Desktop Repton PLUS will run great on an A9Home with RISC OS 4.40, it apparently also runs on a MicroDigital Omega.
Desktop Repton PLUS is included on a CD-Rom but if you don't own a CD Drive don't worry! David will e-mail you a copy.
The graphics are still the same as the ProAction 1998 versions and the sound.
The lifespan of this game is huge, once you've completed all of the Games and Expansions you would have a lost many months off of your life and you can then make your own, so the fun never stops!
WARNING! Playing Repton 3 until 2am will reduce your brain to mush!
Desktop Repton PLUS is fun for all of the family but I seriously do not recommend laying after a long 6 at School or Work.
