Sporting Games Collection Reviewed
Another release from APDL / 4Th Dimension, this collection contains all of the greatest sports titles from The 4Th Dimension and all for £14.90. This collection comes on one CD-ROM in a DVD case with s nice-ish cover, I have found that the CD-ROM's ink can spread easy but otherwise everything is great!
My personal favorites from this collection are Holed Out and Super Pool, the graphics of these games are not up to the standard as the graphics in Tek 1608 or Battle for Wesnoth but are still very playable.
These games are great for nostalgic gamers who want to remember that nice warm feeling inside while playing games on their old Archimedes or BBC but if you are used to games like Battle for Wesnoth, WarGus and Tek 1608 then you will not like these games at all.
All games in this collection have been patched to run on RISC OS 4 and StrongARM machines but are not guaranteed to work on an Iyonix, even with Aemulor or Aemulor Pro. I have not tested these games on a A9Home because I currently do not own one but there is a possibility that these games will run on an A9Home because the A9Home runs RISC OS 4.42 and all games have been patched to run on RISC OS 4, I am not certain so if you do not own a 26-Bit RISC OS machine and own a A9Home then buy this collection at your own list. These Games will run on most 26-Bit RISC OS machine from a A310 to the latest RisCube or RiscStation but if you haven't got a CD drive you'll have to find a way to get the files from the CD to your hard disc.
This collection contains nine great sporting games for RISC OS computers and here's what's included:
Break 147
Super Pool
Grevious Bodily ARM
Arcade Soccer
The Olympics
Virtual Golf
Holed Out
Silver Ball
Kick Off
