JMBMan Reviewed

JMBMan is still one of my most played games mainly because of the addicitiveness of the game.
In case you don't know JMBMan is a PacMan style game written by Neil White from CloudSprinter Software entirely using BASIC and Sprite files.
JMBMan doesn't work on my A5000 with RISC OS 3.11 but does work on my RiscPC StrongARM with RISC OS 3.6 and RiscStation R7500+ Lite with RISC OS 4.03.
JMBMan can be downloaded as Freeware from Neil White's site, www.cloudsprinter.com.

There are many freeware games by Neil White (Nex) including another PacMan clone on his site but I can't seem to find his new NetHack clone, Wrouge on his site at the moment.
Apparently, all of Neil White's games are 32-Bit and 26-Bit Compatible.
The graphics are 2D but the graphics are actually quite nice, considering they're sprite files.
If you are a low-bandwith Internet user, there is no need to worry, JMBMan and most of his software are quite small will work with most RISC OS computers made after 1994.
The sound is OK and has a nice little icon on the iconbar.
The aim of the game is to collect all the crystals and balls as you can and some fruits before the monsters catch you and then you go up to the next level!
There is a feature that I am pleased with is that some paths go off one side of the screen and return on the other side.
If you are fan of PacMan and fancy a few hours of nostalgic fun then you must download JMBMan, it's free!

More of Neil's ports can be downloaded from the Unix Porting Project's website, www.riscos.info/unix/

I Rate This Game 73%
